Our founder chairman Mr. T.S. Mahal a pharmacist had established in the year 1904 a company by the name Punjab Pharmaceuticals in Lahore foreseeing a great future in the field of pharmaceuticals. Inspired as he was about self-reliance he took to manufacture of unavailable Pharmaceutical machinery and accessories required for this dedicated venture.

Shifted to Bombay in 1947, the company concentrated on the manufacture of Pharmaceutical Machines, accessories and tools. Inborn love for mechanical engineering, through a qualified chemist, started the deviation into research for better quality machines in pharmaceuticals, a tradition still being followed by our group.

Commitment to quality products and research necessitated the birth of General Pharmaceutical Machinery Company and then the group.

Mahal International was setup as a marketing company by Mr. K.S. Mahal for our three companies GPMC, V&K Industries for the Pharmaceutical industry and GPMC InfoTech for the IT industry. This was later handled by Mr. J.S. Mahal and S.S. Mahal (both technocrats with sufficient commercial experience) to run a dedicated Apex Marketing Co. to professionally look after the group sales.
